Options and Bid Assessment Framework

We’d like to invite you to submit your options and contribute to regional water resources planning. Let’s work together to create a resilient future for water.

If you have any ideas, you can get in touch via our contact form here, or speak to your local water company using the links from the Bid Assessment Framework below.

We’re at an exciting time in water resource management for the Water Resources West region, with ambitious plans to maintain a secure supply of water for people and businesses, whilst also protecting and enhancing the environment. In order to meet these challenges, water users are considering a range of solutions to meet their water needs, from building reservoirs and water supply schemes to more innovative solutions looking to optimise systems or improving water use efficiency. Looking forward, we aim to discover, collate and understand the opportunities that exist across the region. The more options we can consider, the more resilient our plan will be.

We’re interested in ideas from all water users, from agriculture, energy and industry to environmental organisations, IDBs, water companies and more. Every option is valuable; whether you have an early-stage concept or a shovel ready scheme, we’re keen to hear from you. Even the smallest schemes could add up to significant water savings. Sharing your ideas on water resources, demand management, and leakage services will help shape the next Regional Plan for Water Resources West due in 2029.

Bid Assessment Framework

The purpose of the Bid Assessment Framework is to support the market for water resources, demand management and leakage services. It provides guidance and a template to enable you to submit proposals to help us maintain our water supply balance.

The process is designed to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the tendering process and builds on existing processes and our obligations for water resource planning, procurement law and competition obligations.
